Check storage and file identity before installing
Leave enough free storage for the download and installation process, especially on phones that also hold photos, WhatsApp media and offline video. If two APKs have similar names, check the download time and source.
Expect login state to change after an update
An update can clear a saved session and return you to the login screen. Make sure the registered mobile number and recovery method are still available before replacing the app.
Delete the old installer once the new build is confirmed
After opening the updated app successfully, remove outdated installers from the Downloads folder. Keeping one clear package reduces the chance of reinstalling an old.
